Today, most of the colonial dates are packed in 5 or 10 kg cartons, which are usually laminated. According to the latest information, about thirteen thousand and six hundred hectares of the lands of this city have been covered by colonial date palm fields or groves, and of this amount, about ten thousand and six hundred hectares are considered fertile.
Although in recent years, the existence of successive droughts has caused the destruction of many of these fields and reduced the quality of some dates obtained from some of these fields, but this date is still among the most products of Khuzestan province. Of course, it should be noted that although this date is very popular in foreign markets and sales or demand, but it is not very well known in Iran and its consumption in Iran is far from the standards of many countries.
